July 6, 2022 Day 6 Lake Winniepesaukee, NH Mt. Washington Cruise

Lake Winniepesaukee is where I spent my summers
as a child and teenager
at our Grandparents Locke's house on the lake.
I remember going to Weirs beach and the fun times there.

Since our family moved way back in 1974 (I believe) I always wanted to return and remember the fun times we had as a family.
I also wanted to do the Mt. Washington cruise.
I remember watching this ship sail by our house everyday.

I thought this was too funny when it "cruised" by.
"lets have a drink" hahahaha!

This was the house I spent my summers in.
(The one in the middle)
Of course it looks different because the new owners remodeled and painted it.
And revamped the beach and dock areas.
But I still have fond memories of this home and the summers spent here.

Coming into Wolfeboro to unload and pick up more passengers.
(if you wanted to explore this quaint town,
you would be picked up on the next trip)

The house I spend my summers at.

This is the small cottage Grandma and Grandpa Locke built
just up the road from the main house.
It gave them some peace and quiet from us 7 kids.

Many fond memories of walking to The Wise Owl for candy.

I worked here for a while one summer as a teenager.
I helped clean the cottages families rented during the summer.

I remember stopping here to get shakes and Frappes
with my siblings and friends.

This is Kellerhaus at Weirs Beach.
A wonderful ice cream place and gift shop.
