We headed back to Balboa park on Thursday and did a few more museums.
The San Diego Model Railroad Museum was amazing.
A nano gauge train.
Can you see the shark in the pool?
A cool tree in Balboa park.
While in the San Diego Museum of Man we bought tickets to take the tour of the California Tower which is part of the building the museum is in.
View from one of the tower's windows on our way to the top.
The spiral staircase that leads up to the last level we are allowed to go.
Views from the tower.
More spiral stairs leading further up the tower but not open to the public.
Looking down from the tower.
Ground view of the California Tower.
After we were done at the park we decided to head back to Little Italy and have dinner. We ate at Panificio E Ristorante Solunto on Tuesday and it was fabulous. A true Italian restaurant with a bakery and gelato ice cream. (which I had for dessert) Our servers were all cute Italians with strong accents.
This gorgeous wall of succulents was in Little Italy.
We ate at Civico 1845 in Little Italy on our last night in San Diego. It was also fabulous! We had cream puffs drowning in chocolate for dessert. I posted this picture on instagram and the owner of this restaurant liked my post.
We had a wonderful time in San Diego!
