On Sunday Allan and the Rowlands drove to Memorial Hill in nearby Midway, Utah, in honor of Memorial Day the following day. You had to drive in circles around the hill to get to the top, the memorial had all the names of all those who had served in the military in Wasatch county. They had a plaque for every war you could think of going all the way back to the War of 1812. They even found a few Bells listed.
On Monday, Memorial Day, we headed over to the Mendenhall's for a family BBQ. The cousins had a great time playing on the trampoline, and the girls, playing house and we played a lot of nine square. A fun cross between volleyball and four square. You had to keep the ball in play by passing it to a person in a different square over the top of the bars. If you missed or hit it more then once you were out and had to go to the end of the line. Everyone else moves up a place and the next person in line joins in. It was fast moving and a lot of fun.
Before everyone left Gary got out the ATVs and we had a blast riding them around the neighborhood. Gary gave us all mini lessons on driving them so we all took our turn taking them for a spin.
