Griffith Visit July 2 -9-, 2019

Terri drove out from California with the boys for a visit.
First they stopped in Las Vegas and stayed with Kerri for a couple of days and then continued up to Utah with Aidan and Liam in tow.
They were here for a week, and we had a great time.
I will post all our adventures over several blog posts.

That evening we went over to the Mendenhall's for a family/cousin barbecue.

Here we are playing 9 square.
The kids and adults all loved playing this game.

The trampoline was a hit with all the cousins!

Wasatch Mountain State Park, Pine Creek Trail , June 15, 2019

This was our second hike at the state park. This hike was 3.6 miles round trip and the trail follows on either side of the creek and there are three bridges along the way to get you over the creek. At one point you couldn't continue on one of the trails because the creek  took over part of the trail. We also had to cross over a small part of the creek on a makeshift piece of wood to continue on the trail.
It was a beautiful hike.

At the end of the trail is what is called a Glacial outwash.
As a glacier came down the valley it left this huge pile of rocks where the Pine Creek Trail ends.

Wasatch Mountain State Park June 1, 2019

After living here for almost 18 months we are finally getting around to exploring the area we live in.
Wasatch Mountain State Park is just six miles away in Midway.
Today we went and checked it out and did an easy hike.  It was overcast today so it was a perfect day for a hike. We will definitely be back for more exploring and hikes.

Here is some of the beauty we found.

Looks like a dinosauar egg but it is just a large mushroom!
