For our 39th anniversary we visited The Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA
I've always wanted to visit this museum and Allan knows how much I love Snoopy and Woodstock so we went more for me then him. It really was a great way to celebrate our day.

This ceramic tile mural was done by artist Yoshi Otani. The Mural is composed of 3,588 Peanuts comic strip images printed on individual 2 x 8 inch ceramic tiles.
This is a bas relief wood sculpture called Morphing Snoopy
also created by Yoshi Otani.
Morphing Snoopy is composed of 43 layers that have been shaped and cut to reveal the evolving personas of Snoopy, beginning with Spike, Schulz's childhood pet and inspiration for the world famous beagle.

It was a Dark and Stormy Night exhibition.
Charles Schulz brought his love of literature to his art, especially with his depiction of Snoopy as the "World Famous Author" sitting atop his doghouse using a typewriter.
This was an interactive typing display which allowed visitors to share in Snoopy's experience and step into the paw prints of the World Famous Author.

Charles Schulz and his wife built this skating rink, I believe back in the 1970's. It is referred to as Snoopy's Home Ice. Charles Schulz loved hockey and would sponsor celebrity hockey games and he would participate in them also.
Right next to Snoopy's Home Ice was Snoopy's Gallery and Gift Shop.
Inside the skating rink is a cafe and this table was where Charles Schulz always had lunch with friends and family. It is now permanently reserved.
It was a wonderful day.
