April Fun 2022

We had much more happen in April than in the last couple of months.

I've had our passport applications on my desk for at least a couple of years.
I finally got them filled out and sent in and received our passports.
Now we need to decide where to go!

Celebrated Mckay's 5th birthday.

It is still getting cold enough at night to freeze my birdbath.
As you can see the robin is standing on the ice wondering how he is going to take his bath. The robins come everyday now and bathe in the birdbath.
I now have a new birdbath because this one got blown over during a night time wind storm and shattered all over my porch.
My new one is resin/plastic and shouldn't break if blown over.

Took the grandkids to the aquatic center and park while they were with us one weekend.

Had a great time in CA with the grandkids.
The trampoline was a favorite activity.

Also went miniature golfing.

Time with Papa.

We celebrated Allan's birthday in CA.

A new cookie place opened up here in Heber.
I had to try some.

Chocolate chip-I've had better
Lemon-Allan says his sugar cookies are better.
Banana cream-these were the best of the three.
I will stay with Suss cookies in Midway!!

On April 23rd more storms and this happened.
Snow but not snow. It was like snow and hail combined.
Soft and squishy.

The tulips are really beginning to show off.

These are my latest ceramics projects.
These bunnies will be put out next Easter.

The hedgehog is already out in my yard.

Dinner with pickleball friends celebrating a birthday.

On Friday April 29th a group of us pickleball players decided to play outside despite the storm warning. We got one game in before it really started to get windy and snow.
We ended up going out to breakfast instead.
If you look closely you can see it snowing!

A visit to the Griffith's April 11 - 15, 2022

Went to California to see the grandkids during spring break.
The weather was stormy through Nevada with high winds and rain/snow and when we got to Donner pass they were requiring chains on the big rigs so it was slow over Donner pass. They had two check points so it added almost 2 hours to our drive. We arrived safely and enjoyed our time with the grandkids.

The trampoline was a favorite with the kids.
