Every art class our teacher gives us a drawing lesson. This one was about shapes and values. She had Irises on the table and we were to just "see" the shapes and roughly draw them. Then we transferred those drawings to water color paper and used these special drawing pencils (I can't remember what she called them) and then we finished our pictures using values (shading) and then using brushes applied water to finish the drawing. Here is the finished product.
